Koala Creek® dark - fireretardent FRID coating on the rooftop tent fabric
Koala Creek® dark - fire-resistant FRID coating on the tent canvas.
In this row of blogs, we showcase the advantages of a Koala Creek® rooftop tent. These are often very unique and specific Koala Creek® rooftop tent features.
Koala Creek® uses a unique coating on the inside of the strong 300g/m2 technical cotton (Ripstop - Polycotton) roof tent canvas for its (dark) grey roof tents:
FRID coating Fire Retardent Inside Dark : Very dark and fire resistant.
- Safe in the roof tent because it is fire-resistant.
- Dark inside the roof tent because it is not translucent.
- Very pleasant in, for example, Scandinavian nights where the sun does not set. You don't wake up to the sun, but when you're asleep. A must for Scandinavia!
- The 300 gr/m2 technical cotton fabric used (Ripstop - Polycotton) is made of a mix of polyster and cotton which is specially woven. This means it has 4 edges with a thicker thread, making it extremely tear-resistant.
- Due to the use of polyester in the fabric, waterproofness is guaranteed even in heavy rain and high winds.
- Because there is cotton in the fabric, it also stays much more comfortable and cool in the roof tent than when using the cheaper 100% polyester fabric (as used in most ground tents).
- The HOTSEAM sealed seams also prevent water from getting through the seams.
